Come and spend your family holiday here in Saalbach-Hinterglemm and explore the endless possibilities this area offers or just kick back and relax.


You can for instance go hiking in the Glemm Valley with it’s beautiful mountain huts and alms, ride your mountain bike or simply relax and enjoy the sunshine on our lawn. The various lifts in the valley will transport you effortlessly to the mountain peaks from where you can begin your hike or bike tour.


If you are feeling sporty, why not play a game of table tennis?  Or perhaps you would like to barbeque a fish that you have caught in our own fish pond. Our young guests will particularly enjoy our farm and pets (cows, pigs, horses, ducks, rabbits, cats and dog ) as well as our play area and sand pit.


If you enjoy swimming, you will find the cleanest lake in Austria about 10 km away in Zell am See and a new open-air adventure swimming pool in Saalbach. There are also thermal baths in Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein .


Especially for children - Between the top and middle station of the Kohlmais gondola lift a completely new attraction awaits you! It’s the little clown Montelino, who lost his smile because he neglected his friends and toys until they disappeared.  Take a box and try to find all his friends and toys again. Follow the wise owl - it will help you! Enjoy a new adventure and help Montelino to smile again. Free guided family walks are offered in the weekly walking programme run by the Tourist Information Office. More.


Enjoy the fairytale forest in Hinterglemm, a fascinating walk with lots of fairytale figures and their stories and signs all along the paths.


At the end of the valley, as well as breathtaking scenery, you will find a delightful water experience. At the Devil's Water you can explore the element of water with all your senses as you splash in shallow pools and paddle in the stream. Next to the Devil’s Water you will find Schnitza’s Woodpark, where you can explore what you can do with the material wood, play and build with it. There is also a high rope park for a real adrenaline kick - not for the faint-hearted!


In addition to all these things and more in the Glemm Valley, there are many places of interest in our area which you may also want to visit during your stay like the mountain reservoirs in Kaprun, the boat trip on the lake in Zell am See, Ferleiten wildlife park, the Grossglockner road to Austria’s highest mountain, summer skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier in Kaprun, the Sigmund-Thun gorge, Salzburg, Krimml Waterfalls as well as a multitude of mountain gondolas and swimming pools.
